Howdy my dudes, been a while since I posted anything to the site. December and January are often busy and unproductive for me even at the best of times, but now we're back in the swing of things.
First on the chopping block, I've made yet another appearance on a livestream courtesy of Herr Krake, discussing The Colour of Magic by the late great Terry Pratchett. Didn't run on as long as we would've liked for reasons that are evident in the stream but it was a good time. Long story short, wasn't terribly fond of it but there's enough there that worked for me that I'm willing to give his better regarded works a try.
Next up, where's The Angel of Subjugation Part Two? I've missed deadlines for the first draft and thus have stopped giving definitive ones, but now it's looking promising; the final chapter of the part was written to completion just a few days ago, and aside from needing to slot in a quick chapter early in the book for pacing and a rewrite of the first chapter, it's basically done. What will follow is some extensive editing, some beta reading, a bit more editing and then a full release. Keep your eyes out for that and if you haven't already, do consider checking out the first book. It's a slower affair than what comes later but I'm still immensely proud of how it turned out.
The only real concern now is finding a cover artist, but I'll arrange that in my own time. This little indie circle I'm involved in (probably not as much as I should be) has its share of talented artists, I'm certain one will bite.
As for what comes next, I'm currently halfway through the aforementioned saga but whether it'll culminate in 4 or 5 installments, I'm not yet sure. That'll be my main focus up until it's completed, but on the side I have made a Royal Road account and plan to start posting something there on a regular basis. What it'll be is undecided, I'm flicking between a few ideas at present, but I'll settle eventually.
